A Federal High Court sitting in Calabar, Cross River State, has convicted and sentenced a man, Prince Joseph Mark for rape.
CONVERSEER learned that Mark was sentenced to three years imprisonment on 23rd May 2024, for defiling 6-year-old and 11-year-old girls.
The verdict was handed down by the Court, where the perpetrator was found guilty of two out of the four charges he faced.
He was also fined with the sum of N200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira) as compensation to the survivors.

James Ibor, Principal Counsel of BRCI, said.

CONVERSEER reports that Mark’s conviction marks the fifth conviction of rapists secured by BRCI and its part in the last five months.
