Calabar, Nigeria – In an exhilarating finale, Achu Olayi Bekwara Team has clinched the coveted Governor’s Cup, edging out top contenders in the 2024 Cross River State football tournament.
The tournament finale was played at the U. J. Esuene Stadium, Calabar, on Tuesday.
The triumphant team was honoured with several awards, solidifying their dominance in the competition.
Jobi Daniel from Obudu was crowned the Best Player, while Paul Peter from Achu Olayi Bekwara Team took home the award for Best Keeper.
In another impressive display, Oduok Emmanuel Charles from Hope of Glory FC Team emerged as the Highest Goal Scorer, showcasing his exceptional skills on the field.
Hope of Glory FC Team secured a respectable third-place finish in the tournament, demonstrating their dedication and perseverance.
