ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has announced a three-day fasting and prayer programme aimed at seeking divine intervention in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

In an internal memo dated 11th June and obtained by TheCable, Adedayo Modupe, Director of Human Resource Management, said the spiritual exercise is intended to invoke God’s guidance in the country’s efforts to achieve food security.

“All staff of the ministry are expected to participate in the fasting and attend the prayer sessions,” the circular stated.

Themed “Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development”, the prayer sessions will take place from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Conference Hall B of the ministry’s headquarters in Area 11, Garki, Abuja.

The fasting and prayers are scheduled for three Mondays – 16th June, 23rd June, and 30th June.
