Another mother abandons newborn baby in dustbin in Calabar

Another mother has abandoned her newborn baby in a dustbin in Calabar, Cross River State.

The unidentified mother, CONVERSEER gathered abandoned the baby in a waste bin by Ekoson Bustop, 8 Miles, Calabar Municipality.

According to sources, the newborn, who was already dead, was discovered by a good Samaritan on Sunday morning.

According to background voices in a viral video shared with CONVERSEER, the baby died of a cold before being found.

The newborn must have been left by the mother on Saturday night.

CONVERSEER reports that this is the second time in less than a week that such an incident was recorded in Calabar.

The other was at Ekpo Abasi Junction by UNICROSS (CRUTECH) gate, where a mother dumped her newborn inside the big gutter (drainage) flowing with water.
