Cameroon Delegates Flee Bakassi Following Invasion Of Pro-Biafran Militants

Delegates from Yaounde, capital of Cameroon have fled Bakassi Peninsula following an attack by a militant group, Black Marine that left three soldiers dead.

Their visit might be in connection to the attack on oil installations a few days ago which has resulted in fuel crises in Cameroon.

According to Sunrise Daily, the militant group stormed Abana where some government delegates who came from Cameroon’s capital city were trying to organise a meeting with the people of the region.

The Biafra loyalist group opened fire at the entrance of the Secondary School in Isangele where the meeting was said to have been held, and killed three Soldiers.

CONVERSEER reports that on 8 December 2023, the Rapid d’Intervention Battalions, BIR of Cameroon killed the second-in-command of the Black Marine, aka Commander Sniper in a face-to-face confrontation.

The BIR were said to have met the militant group on their way to Abana when they opened fire on them killing the number two commander.

The Black Marine is a pro-Biafran group fighting for the actualisation of the Biafra Republic.
