Champions League: Arsenal, Man City, PSG secure wins as AC Milan stumble

The 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League group stage has ended with thrilling encounters as top European clubs battled for crucial points. Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Arsenal, and Bayern Munich secured victories, while AC Milan suffered a shock defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

In an emphatic display, Lille demolished Feyenoord 6-1, marking one of the biggest wins of the round. Elsewhere, BSC Young Boys narrowly lost 0-1 to FK Crvena Zvezda, while Sporting CP and Bologna settled for a 1-1 draw.

A stunning upset saw Sturm Graz defeat RB Leipzig 1-0, while Bayern Munich maintained their dominance with a 3-1 win over Slovan Bratislava.

English side Arsenal edged past Girona 2-1, while Atletico Madrid delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Salzburg. Juventus faltered at home, falling 0-2 to Benfica, and Bayer Leverkusen comfortably saw off Sparta Prague with a 2-0 win.

PSG put on a clinical performance to thrash VfB Stuttgart 4-1, while Aston Villa emerged victorious in a thrilling 4-2 clash against Celtic. Barcelona played out an intense 2-2 draw with Atalanta, while Inter Milan dominated Monaco 3-0.

One of the night’s biggest surprises saw Dinamo Zagreb defeat AC Milan 2-1, adding pressure on the Italian giants. Real Madrid cruised to a 3-0 win over Brest, while PSV Eindhoven edged out Liverpool 3-2 in a high-scoring contest.

Reigning champions Manchester City continued their strong run of form after the slum with a 3-1 victory over Club Bruges, while Borussia Dortmund matched the scoreline with a 3-1 win against Shakhtar Donetsk.

With these results, the competition remains fierce as teams from 9 to 24 push for a spot in the round 16. The next round of matches will be crucial in determining the fate of several clubs in the tournament, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Manchester City.
