MICHIGAN (CONVERSEER) – A church deacon ran over the shooter in a Ford F-150 truck before a church security guard shot and killed the active shooter in Wayne County, Michigan.
The incident happened at Crosspointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan, on Sunday, 22nd June 2025, around 11 AM, shortly after the 10:45 AM service began.
According to reports, no one was injured among the approximately 150 attendees except for the security guard who was shot in the leg.
“Senior Pastor Bobby Kelly Jr. said a deacon ran the shooter over, giving a security guard time to shoot the armed attacker outside the church,” the Detroit News reported.
“He was run over by one of our members who saw this happening when he was coming into church,” Kelly said.
The Wayne Police Department is investigating, and the situation remains under review.
The identity of the suspect has not been released by the Police at the time of this report.
