Calabar, Nigeria – The Cross River State Government has launched the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Week Emblem Appeal Fund.
The launching was made on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Main Bowl of the State Cultural Centre Complex, Calabar.
A statement earlier released by the State Commissioner for Social Welfare and Community Development, Bishop Margaret Ene, revealed that the event is targeted at raising funds for families of fallen heroes who fought to ensure that Nigeria remains an indivisible Nation.
Converseer reports that the State Emblem Appeal Fund Launch is one of the key activities earmarked for the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day which shall culminate in the laying of wreaths on the tomb of the unknown soldier come January 15, 2025, at the 11-11 (Eleven-Eleven), Millennium Park Arcade.
