Dep Gov Odey celebrates Cross River-born artistic at exclusive exhibition

ABUJA (CONVERSEER) – In a continued effort to support budding entrepreneurs and celebrate artistic excellence, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey (PhD), on Friday attended a solo art exhibition by Nelly Idagba, a Cross River-born artist and lawyer.

The event, hosted at the Abuja residence of Pieter Leenknegt, the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria, Abuja, featured Idagba’s exceptional talent, creativity, and commitment to the arts.

Speaking at the event, Dr Odey reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to empowering local creatives and entrepreneurs, emphasising the vital role of cultural innovation in driving economic development for the state and Nigeria at large.

While congratulating Nelly Idagba on this remarkable milestone, he described the exhibition as both a powerful expression of Cross River’s artistic promise and a shining example of the remarkable talent emerging from the state.
