OGOJA – The Vice Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Idi Yakubu, has donated his salary for the month of March to the 10 All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Chairmen in Ogoja, Cross River State.
Converseer reports that the donation which includes rice is in commemoration of the Easter celebration and a testament to the Vice Chairman’s commitment to his party colleagues.
Reacting to the gesture, the APC Ward Chairmen Forum expressed gratitude to the Vice Chairman for his generosity.
In a statement, the forum’s Chairman, Mr Ngbantul Greg, Ward Chairman of Ekajuk Ward 1, lauded Hon. Yakubu’d work ethic and leadership, saying, “We are filled with joy this Easter season, and it’s really a season of sweetness from you, our capable VC. May God Almighty continue to bless you, sir.”
Concluding, the Yakubu expressed his appreciation for the Ward Chairmen’s tireless efforts, describing them as “the eyes of the party” and acknowledging their sacrifices.
He stated, “This is the least we can do to encourage them to keep working for the party.”
