In a significant development, the Executive Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area (LGA), Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang has announced the appointment of Dr Edidiong Augustine Essien as the new Council Secretary.
This announcement was made during a media chat at the Council Secretariat on Friday, 11th October.
Dr Essien brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as the Director General of New Era Divine Movement, the campaign organisation instrumental in the Chairman’s election victory. His expertise and leadership skills will undoubtedly enhance the council’s operations.
As Council Secretary, Dr Essien will play a pivotal role in shaping the LGA’s policies and programs, of the New Era Administration of Rt. Hon. Edidiong Inyang, aka Murphy, which will impact the lives of over 137,127 residents in Ibesikpo Asutan.
Dr Essien was sworn in on 11th October 2024 at 3 pm at the Council Secretariat in Nung Udoe.
With his expertise and the council’s commitment, the LGA is set to witness significant progress in the days ahead, as this appointment is expected to strengthen the council’s administrative capacity and enhance service delivery to the people of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
