The remain of the Hope Waddel Training Institution student, Ephraim Samuel Etim, who was killed by a delivery van on 30th September, has been laid to rest.
CONVERSEER reports that Ephraim was the only son of his parents and was knocked to death by a delivery van (DELVAN) along Calabar Road by Total Filling Station while returning from school.
A commendation service was held for Ephraim at the Hope Waddell Chapel on 4th October at about 8 am before he was buried.
In a release by Efoli Esuku, PTA Chairman, on Thursday, the commendation service in honour of Ephraim Samuel Etim was held at the Chapel after which his corpse was moved to the Presbyterian Church inside the institution for Solemn Assembly.
The leadership of the institution, Parents/Teachers Association (PTA), students, teachers, and others attended the solemn service amid tears.
“Please, don’t relent in remembering the bereaved family in your constant prayers,” Esuku said.
His parents could not comment on their son’s death as they still harbour the pain in their hearts.
CONVERSEER earlier reported that the police who took Ephraim’s corpse to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), said he was killed by a delivery vehicle being chased by the Cross River State Government Task Force.
