Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released a provisional squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, set to take place in March.
The roster features a mix of established stars, promising new players, and home-based talents as Nigeria aims to kickstart its campaign on a strong note.
The squad includes key players such as Victor Osimhen, William Ekong, Ademola Lookman, and team captain Ahmed Musa, alongside 35 other selected players.
Returning stars like Cyriel Dessers, Zaidu Sanusi, Adeleye Adebayo Jordan Torunarigha , and Southampton’s Joe Aribo are also part of the squad.
In addition to these well-known names, Chelle has called up three home-based players: Enugu Rangers defender Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Remo Stars goalkeeper Bankole Kayode, and Papa Daniel of Niger Tornadoes.
Chelle’s World Cup qualifying campaign with Nigeria kicks off in Kigali, Rwanda, on March 21, followed by the crucial clash against Zimbabwe on March 25 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
