A fuel tanker carrying diesel worth over N50 million has busted up in flames in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State.
CONVERSEER gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon along the Ikom-Calabar Highway by County Specialist Hospital, 4 Corners, Ikom.
According to a source, Elijah Ugani, the cause of the fire may be unconnected to a leakage.
Ugani said there was no casualty involving life as the driver escaped the inferno.
However, several shops and businesses around the area were affected by the high fire which burnt for several hours and a distance of over 500 metres.

Motorcycles, houses and economic trees were also destroyed in the aftermath of the fire.
Our Reporter also gathered that there was no firefighter service as the tanker vehicle burnt beyond repair.
