ACCRA (CONVERSEER) – Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Dzifa Abla Gomashie, is currently mourning.
She lost her father, Mr Gomashie, who passed away at the age of 106.
The Minister shared the sad news on her Facebook page. She posted a touching message along with a photo of her father.
In her post, she included a poem with five stanzas. The first stanza reads:
“BEGONE, unbelief; my Saviour is near,
And for my relief will surely appear:
By prayer let me wrestle, and He will perform;
With Christ in the vessel, I smile at the storm.”
The second stanza continues:
“Though dark be my way, since He is my Guide,
’Tis mine to obey, ’tis His to provide;
Though cisterns be broken and creatures all fail,
The word He hath spoken shall surely prevail.”
