Ghanaian President John Mahama has appointed 13 deputy ministers, finalising the formation of his government.
In an official statement, Presidential Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the appointments are intended to support ministers in achieving the government’s objectives and fulfilling promises made to the people.
With this latest round of nominations, President Mahama is nearing his target of appointing 60 ministers and deputy ministers, having already named 42 ministers.
The list of 13 newly appointed deputy ministers has been submitted to Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin for vetting and approval.
