Ghanaian President John Mahama and his predecessor Nana Akufo-Addo shared a moment of unity over the Easter weekend in Kwahu, located in the Eastern Region.
On the sidelines of the Kwahu Business Forum, President Mahama revealed on social media that he visited Akufo-Addo to exchange Easter greetings, noting both leaders were in the area for the celebrations. Mahama recently returned to power after winning the 2024 presidential election, defeating Mahamudu Bawumia, Akufo-Addo’s former vice-president.
During his stay in Kwahu, President Mahama praised the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of the region.
He commended local business leaders and institutions for their efforts in building a strong local economy and emphasized the need for economic policies that support entrepreneurship.
Mahama stated that the experience deepened his resolve to “reset Ghana” and foster an environment where businesses can grow and succeed.
