Calabar, Cross River State – Governor Bassey Otu has approved the appointment of Mr Antigha Edem Gill as the new Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency (DG SEMA).
This was contained in a press release signed by Mr Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Converseer reports that the new SEMA SG Gill replaces Apostle James Anam, who is now the Chairman of Calabar Municipality Local Government Area.
According to the release, the Governor also approved the appointment of Ako Nsa Ekpenyong as Director of the SEMA Directorate.
Ako is also replacing a former Director of the Agency, Christina Eso, who was recently elected as the Vice Chairman of Bakassi Local Government Area.
“The Governor urged the new DG of SEMA and other Directors in the Agency to ensure efficiency and timeliness in the discharge of their duties,” the release added.
