Governor Otu Extends 3km Adiabor Road To Okurikang

Calabar, Nigeria – Cross River State Governor Senator Bassey Otu has further awarded an additional 1.5 kilometres to the ongoing 3-kilometre Adiabor road construction in Odukpani Local Government Area.

The road, which now extends through Okurikang to link up with the Itu bridge, will decongest traffic and serve as an alternative route to commuters applying the Odukpani-Itu road between Cross River and Akwa Ibom state.

The road project that was awarded by Otu to Zenith Construction Company in July 2024 for three (3) kilometres, then includes two bridges, culverts and drainages.

Visiting the construction site on Tuesday morning by a team from the Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME), Governor’s Office Calabar, led by the Director of Civil Engr. Francis Idagu, on behalf of the Special Adviser Mr Raphael Morphy, commended the Governor for his speedy interventions to deliver on projects, which is actually proving his people’s first agenda.
