Governor Otu sends 5 more names as Commissioners to Assembly

The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu has sent five (5) more names as Commissioners to the House of Assembly.

The names of the new nominees, CONVERSEER learned were contained in a letter signed by Governor Otu and submitted to the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, on Wednesday (August 9).

This is coming barely a week after the House completed the confirmation of the first 26-person list submitted by the Governor.

Part of the letter read: “The following names are hereby submitted to the Cross River State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as Commissioners.”

The names are:

1. Mr Johnson Andiambey Ebokpo (JR)

2. Dr Helen Agan Isamoh

3. Hon. Erasmus Ekpang

4. Hon. Effiom Ekana

5. Hon. Kingsley Namgbe Egumi

If confirmed, this will raise the tally of Commissioners under Otu to 31.
