Governor Otu Suspends New Governing Councils of Schools of Nursing

Governor Bassey Otu has approved a review and immediate suspension of the recent appointment into the Governing Councils for the Schools of Nursing in Obudu and Calabar.

This was disclosed by a press statement signed by Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Thursday, 11th July 2024.

“The status quo before the suspended appointment will remain until further notice,” the statement added.

Recall that Governor Otu had approved the appointment of 16 persons into the Governing Councils of the Colleges of Nursing Sciences in Calabar and Obudu respectively.

1. MRS EMILIA EYO-NSA WHILEY – CHAIRMAN

2. DR MRS LINUS OKOM – MEMBER

3. PRECILIA ANDREW BASSEY – MEMBER

4. MRS EKPEYONGAWAN W. EKPIKEN – MEMBER

5. MRS ESTHER PIUS OKPA – MEMBER

6 MRS EFFIOANWAN AMANSO – PROVOST

7. OJONG UMAGU WODA ESQ – REGISTRAR

8. DR MRS IKWO OKPEBRI – MEMBER

GOVERNING COUNCIL OF COLLEGE OF NURSING SCIENCES OBUDU

1. MRS EDUM TONABAN – CHAIRMAN

2. MRS CATHERINE OGBECHE – MEMBER

3. MRS JOY NELSON OBETEN – PROVOST
