CALABAR (CONVERSEER) – Governor Bassey Otu has sworn in Dr (Mrs) Glory Effiong and Surv. Patrick Bassey as the Account General and Surveyor General of Cross River State.
The duo were sworn in on Thursday at the Governor’s Office in Calabar, the state capital.
The Governor noted that the appointments of Effiong and Bassey align with his commitment to working with individuals who are tested, trusted, and committed to excellence.

“For the Surveyor General, we are entering a more demanding era in land administration, and I’m confident we will overcome any challenges. For the Accountant General, we anticipate increased revenue inflow into the state.
“The financial future of Cross River is promising, and with your expertise, we will sustain and grow our economic progress. The results of our hard work are already visible. Let the critics speak; we know our direction is sound,” he stated.

Remarking, the new Accountant General pledged to work in the highest capacity to improve the financial status of the state.
She said, “I have learned a lot working closely with His Excellency in recent times. Together with my colleague, we pledge to raise the standard of service delivery in Cross River. We will give our best to move the state to greater heights.”
