Calabar, Cross River State – Governor Bassey Otu has sworn in Apostle James Koko Anam as the Chairman of Calabar Municipality Local Government Area.
The swearing in held on Monday at the Governor’s temporary office at Dan Archibong Lodge in Calabar, where 17 other Chairmen and 196 Councillors were also sworn in.
CONVERSEER reports that Apostle Anam was officially declared winner of the election by the Chairman of the Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC), Dr Ekong Boco, on Monday in Calabar.
Anam who contested under the APC polled a total of of 38,354 votes, followed by his counterparts in PDP who polled 3,413 and LP who polled 1,419 votes in the Saturday, 2nd November 2024 Local Government Election in the state.
He was given the Certificate of Return by Dr Boco and is now recognised as “The Moses Of Our Time.”
Before his election, Anam was the Director General of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (DG SEMA).
