Iran’s FM Araqchi to hold talks with Putin

TEHRAN (CONVERSEER) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, has announced that upcoming talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin will focus on urgent regional developments and efforts to deepen strategic coordination between Tehran and Moscow.

Araqchi made the remarks ahead of the high-level meeting, underscoring the significance of enhanced bilateral consultations in light of the evolving geopolitical climate.

“Given the current situation in the region, consultations between Iran and Russia should be more serious and closer,” the Foreign Minister stated, hinting at rising tensions and shifting alliances in the Middle East and beyond.

He said the discussions with President Putin would be “serious and important,” adding that he was confident the talks would yield outcomes beneficial to both nations.

Converseer reports that the PM arrived earlier in Moscow amidst conflict with Israel.

Earlier, Iranian air defences engaged Israeli drones over Tehran.

Air defence units are also confronting Israeli aircraft over the city of Karaj, according to Fars News Agency.
