Kenyan man allegedly k!lls wife, flees after posting cryptic Facebook confession

The family of a woman, Naomi Chebet is seeking justice after she was allegedly m8rdered by her husband in her rented apartment in Kiambu, Kenya.

Naomi, who had recently reunited with her estranged husband, Samuel Njoroge, was discovered d3ad by her brother, Harrison, on March 23, 2025, with disturbing injuries that suggest a brutal attack.

According to her brother, Ben Koech, Naomi and Samuel had separated but reconciled in the first week of March. The couple have three children together.

Koech told journalists that his sister and her husband had been living together in Naomi’s rental house alongside Harrison.

On the evening of Saturday, March 22, at around 9 pm, a neighbor who was talking on the phone outside saw Naomi entering the house with Samuel.

Approximately an hour and a half later, at 10:30 PM, Samuel was seen leaving the house wearing a mask, passing the same neighbor, who was still on the phone with her parents.

Harrison, who works late nights, returned home between 12 am and 1 am. Upon arrival, he found Naomi lying on the couch, covered with a blanket.

Assuming she was resting after a long day at work, he chose not to wake her.

The next morning, as he prepared for work, he attempted to wake her up but noticed she remained in the same position.

Alarmed, he uncovered the blanket and made the grim discovery—his sister was unresponsive and had been d3ad for hours.

Meanwhile, Samuel Njoroge had disappeared, not returning home that night or the following day. Since then, he has been missing.

A post-mortem examination conducted at Chiromo Mortuary revealed gruesome details of Naomi’s d3ath.

She had been stabbed twice at the back of her head, suffered a hammer-induced fracture on the top of her head, had four deep finger marks on her throat, and a fractured left eye socket.

Despite these injuries, there were no apparent signs of struggle or blood spatter at the scene, raising further questions about the circumstances of her death.

Adding to the horror, Samuel allegedly posted an insulting message on Facebook on Sunday, stating, “Wewe kufa uniodokee malaya wewe” (loosely translated as “Die and leave me alone, prostitute”).

He later sent a message to an unidentified person, admitting to the crime, saying, “Mm nilimuuwa coze ya upuzi, mbona anijibu” (“I k!lled her because of nonsense; why was she answering me back?”).

Authorities traced Samuel’s last known location to Githurai 45 on Monday, March 31.

Naomi’s grieving family is calling on law enforcement to expedite the search for Samuel Njoroge and ensure that justice is served.

They are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward and assist the police in apprehending the suspect.

“We are devastated. We need justice for our sister. The man who did this is still out there,” said Ben Koech, Naomi’s brother.
