Mohbad's Father Claims Wunmi's Child, Liam, Is Not His Grandson

Mohbad’s Father Claims Wunmi’s Child, Liam, Is Not His Grandson

Mr Joseph Aloba, the father of late Afrobeat singer Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has declared that Wunmi’s child Liam is not his grandson.

He again expressed hid doubt that the child left behind by his late son is truly his during an interview with Silverbird TV in which he also revealed that he has not set sight on Liam after Mohbad passed on in September 2023.

Joseph Aloba stated that he had expected Wunmi to bring Liam to him as his grandson since she knows where he lives but she has failed to do the needful leading to his suspicion.

He said; ‘’As a father, they know where I am living. They are supposed to come to me. They are supposed to bring that child to me and say this is your grandson. I demanded a DNA. They are supposed to say ‘Daddy, go and do it at your convenience time’ but they have been hiding it. This has now become a public issue. Let the court anything about the DNA and then I will know what to do”

When he was asked if he thinks Liam is his grandson, and if he bears any resemblance to Mohbad, Mr Aloba said; “No…with what I am seeing”

‘’Let the court make the final say concerning that”.

‘’So he is not your grandson?’ the reporter responded during the interview and he responded ‘’He is not”.

This comes days after Wunmi, threatened to carry out a DNA test independently if Mr Aloba fails to show up for the procedure in new face-off between the pair.

The mother of one who issued the threat in a letter filed by her lawyers accused Joseph Aloba of avoiding a Deoxyribonucleic Acid test to determine the true paternity of her child, Liam (the son she had with Mohbad).

In the letter dated January 9, 2025 which was issued by her legal representatives, Omawunmi threatened to go ahead with the DNA test if Joseph Aloba continues to delay the move which he clamoured for in the first instance after the demise of his son.
