NDDC lights up NIS in Cross River State

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has fulfilled its promise by lighting up the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Cross River State Command.

CONVERSEER reports that the Representative of NDDC in the state, Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, visited the NIS Command on 26th March 2024 and promised to provide solar lights for the command.

In a statement by ASI2 D. I. Omelagah, NIS Command Public Relations Officer in Cross River State, on Thursday, 15 solar lights have been installed by the NDDC.

“A total of fifteen (15) solar lights were earmarked to be installed at the Command premises; the flag house and barracks.

“Installation commenced on Tuesday 21st May 2024 and concluded yesterday 22nd May 2024,” the statement read in part.

Our Reporter further gathered that the solar lights not only light up the NIS but its environment, adding to the security of the area.

Recall that at the assumption of office as Cross River State Representative at the NDDC Board, Duke promised to support the State Governor, Prince Bassey Otu, in fostering development across board.
