The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is organising a free medical outreach in Cross River State from 16th to 22nd June 2024.

CONVERSEER gathered that the outreach which cuts across the nine NDDC states will take place at the General Hospital Akamkpa, Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State.

The free medical outreach includes free consultation, free drugs, free surgeries, free eye checks, free eyeglasses and counselling.

Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, NDDC Commissioner in Cross River State said the free outreach is part of the Commission’s goal to ease the global economic hardship affecting the country.

Duke also said the Commission is also distributing relief materials to flood-affected areas, including Odukpani, Akpabuyo, Bakassi, Calabar South, Ogoja, Obanliku and other local government areas of the state.

He said the Commission is also carrying out developmental projects like road construction, solar street lights installation, youth empowerment and more.

1. Akwa Ibom State

Venue: Cottage Hospital, Ukana, Essien Udim LGA
Date: April 14 – 20 April 2024

2. Imo State

Venue: Oguta General Hospital, Oguta LGA
Date: April 21 – 27 April 2024

3. Delta State

Venue: General Hospital Otujeremi, Ughelli South LGA
Date: May 5 – 11 May 2024.

4. Bayelsa State (Slot 1)

Venue: General Hospital Otuasega, Ogbia LGA.
Date: May 12 – 18 May 2024.

5. Edo State

Venue: Auchi General Hospital, Auchi, Etsako West LGA
Date: May 12 – 18 May 2024.

6. Ondo State

Venue: Igbokoda General Hospital, Ilaje LGA
Date: May 26 – 1st June 2024.

7. Bayelsa State (Slot 2)

Venue: Diete Koki Memorial Hospital, Opolo, Yenagoa LGA
Date: June 2 – 8 June 2024.

8. Rivers State

Venue: General Hospital Ogu, Ogu/Bolo LGA
Date: June 2- 8 June 2024.

9. Abia State

Venue: General Hospital Owaza, Ukwa West LGA
Date: June 16 – 22 June 2024.

10. Cross Rivers State

Venue: General Hospital Akamkpa, Akamkpa LGA
Date: June 16 – 22 June 2024.
