The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has commenced the distribution of 200,000 bags of rice to flood victims in Borno, Adamawa and states in the region.
This was disclosed by Mohamed G. Alkali, MD/CEO of NEDC, during a press conference on Tuesday morning.
Alkali said the release of food and non-food items is to support flood victims in the Northeast region.
“The region has been severely affected by heavy flooding, with Borno State suffering the most damage,” he said.

Adding, “These relief materials are intended for displaced persons across the entire region, as part of the efforts to alleviate their hardships caused by the flooding.”
