According to movie box office reports, the box office of “Nezha” in Malaysia exceeded 40 million Ringgit (current exchange rate is approximately 65.543 million RMB), surpassing “Frozen 2” to set the highest record for animated films in Malaysian film history.
It is currently the double record holder for Chinese-language films and animated films in Malaysian film history.
According to Malaysian Chinese media Sin Chew Daily, “Nezha 2” has set off a viewing craze since its local release on March 13. It broke the Malaysian box office record of mainland films held by “All or Nothing” of RM20.1 million (about RMB 32.9 million); it successfully defeated the Hong Kong film “Ip Man 4” starring Donnie Yen (RM36 million, about RMB 58.92 million) and became the local Chinese film box office champion.
According to Maoyan Professional Edition, as of this publication, the total box office of “Nezha: The Devil Boy Conquers the Dragon King” reached 15.456 billion yuan.
