CALABAR – The Commissioner Representing Cross River State in the National Population Commission (NPC) Board, Rt. Hon. (Barr.) Alex Ukam, has described the wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Bishop Eyoanwan Otu, as an inspiration to other leaders.
Ukam stated this in a message on Thursday to celebrate Bishop Otu’s 61st birthday.
According to the message personally signed by the NPC Federal Commissioner, the wife of Governor Bassey Otu has lifted the spirit of others and directed them towards humanitarian intervention.
“Your genuine love, care, and compassionate initiatives have provided much-needed succour to countless homes. You have uplifted the spirits of many and inspired other leaders to take humanitarian support seriously as a true essence of leadership,” the birthday message read in part.
Rt. Hon. Ukam also acknowledged Bishop Otu’s support to the Governor and her remarkable contributions to the development of the state, stressing that, “It gives me immense joy to see the unparalleled support you are giving to my beloved friend, our Governor, and the remarkable impact you have made so far as the First Lady of Cross River State. Sincerely, your motherly love for the people of Cross River State has not gone unnoticed.”
He further prayed for Bishop Otu, asking God to bless and grant her the grace, good health, long life, and wisdom to continue her impactful work. “We owe you gratitude for what God has used you to achieve in Cross River State,” the Federal Commissioner stated, adding “, Happy Birthday once again, and accept my warmest regards, Your Excellency!”
