Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 22-year-old male school teacher, Rufai Akorede, for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old female pupil (name withheld) in Ilesa.

The suspect was accused of thrusting his manhood into the mouth of the victim in a classroom after school hours.

The Command Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 said the State Commandant, Igbalawole Sotiyo immediately ordered discreet investigation into the incident when the matter was reported.

The statement also said the probe by the command revealed that Akorede started molesting the girl sometime in 2024.

“In his confessional statement, on that day after the school hours, Akorede asked the victim to close all windows in a classroom and thrust his manhood into her mouth,” the statement read.

“The second incident happened on March 20, 2025, after school hours. It was only the teacher and the girl who were in the class, and he pressed her buttocks.

“The suspect was arraigned by NSCDC, on Wednesday 26th March, 2025, before the Magistrate Court in Ilesha, Osun State, where he pleaded not guilty to the one count charge. He was subsequently remanded at the correctional centre in Ilesa. The matter was adjourned for trial.”

The Osun NSCDC boss also strongly warned those individuals engaging in such heinous acts to desist, as failure to do so will result in severe consequences
