“Anora,” a 2024 American romantic comedy-drama film produced by Sean Baker, won five awards at the 97th Academy Awards held in the United States on Sunday.
The Neon-distributed movie won awards, including best picture, best editing, best director, best original screenplay, and best actress—the most of any nominated film.
For his performance in A Real Pain, Kieran Culkin received the Oscar for best supporting actor, while Adrien Brody was chosen as the best actor for The Brutalist.
As the “first American of Dominican origin to accept an Academy Award,” popular thespian Zoe Saldaña won best supporting actress for her role in Emilia Pérez.
Comedian Conan O’Brien hosted the Oscars event, which ABC televised live from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, while Nick Offerman made the announcements during the awards ceremony.
