Otu appoints acting Paramount Ruler for Akpabuyo

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has appointed HRH Etinyin Francis Effiom Edem Efa as the Acting Paramount Ruler and Chairman of Akpabuyo Traditional Rulers Council.

Otu made the appointment via a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nsa Gill on Thursday, 18th April.

According to the statement, Efa, who’s the Clan Head of Esuk Mba Clan, will sustain a peaceful coexistence in the local government area.

“By the approval of His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, the Clan Head of Esuk Mba Clan in Akpabuyo Local Government Area, HRH Etinyin Francis Effiom Edem Efa has been appointed the acting Paramount Ruler and Chairman of the Akpabuyo Traditional Rulers Council.

“He is the eldest clan head in the area and his appointment takes immediate effect.

“His Excellency the Governor looks up to a sustained peaceful coexistence in the local government area as well as an atmosphere of healthier communal ties among residents and indigenes.

“Godspeed in your assignment!” the statement read.

CONVERSEER reports that until his appointment, Efa was the Clan Head of Esuk Mba Clan and the oldest in the area.
