Governor Otu to meet with 44 political juggernauts, including opposition leaders

Calabar, Nigeria – Cross River State Governor Bassey Otu will be meeting with 44 political heavyweights, including 2023 governorship aspirants from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others.

The reason for the meeting is yet to be ascertained, but our Reporter gathered that there are several issues on the ground in the state that need urgent attention.

Some of those issues include the implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage, implementation of workers’ promotion, forthcoming local government election brouhaha, and economic hardship, among others.

In a press release titled “Interactive Engagement with the Governor”, signed by Mr Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Monday, as the Announcer, the engagement will be held on Tuesday, 15th October 2024.

The venue for the meeting is Hogis Royale & Apartment, 6 Bishop Moynagh Avenue Beside CRISSAA, State Housing Estate, Calabar, and the time is 6:30 pm.

The Coordinators are High Chief Higgins Peters and Princess Sen. Florence Ita Giwa.
