Rev. (Mrs) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, the wife of the Governor of Cross River State on Sunday, visited the General Hospital in Calabar to celebrate the birth of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day baby.

Rev. Otu was duly represented by Mrs Nelly Elvert Ayambem (Wife of the Speaker, CRSHA) while expressing great joy during the event, noted that the arrival of the first baby on Independence Day symbolises great blessings to the family and the entire people of Cross River State.

Quoting Psalm 127:3, she said, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”
