PHED restores power, releases new metre prices

The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) has restored power in its zone following the restoration of the National Grid on Tuesday.

Recall that the Organised Labour as part of its industrial action shut down the National Grid controlled by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Monday morning.

In a statement on Wednesday morning, the management of the PHED said it has restored light in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom States.

The statement further said that some areas are yet to gain full restoration.

“Dear Esteemed Customer, this is to notify you that power has been restored to our network. Our customers in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom now have supply.

“Kindly note that customers in the following areas are still without power: Diobu, Ogbunuabali, D/Line, Rumuolumeni, Agip Housing Estate, parts of Ade George, Eagle Island, Old GRA, Port Harcourt township, Borikiri, lbeto area, Kidney island, Eastern Bypass, and Marine base.

“We sincerely appreciate our customers for their patience and understanding during the outage.

“All inconveniences are regretted,” the management of PHED said.
