The 2024 Carnival Calabar 1st Dry Run was flagged off today, 13th October, by Governor Bassey Otu, represented Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly.
The 1st Dry Run marks the preparation for the 32-day event which climaxes with the main Carnival Calabar event, christened Africa’s Biggest Street Party.
CONVERSEER (https://converseer.com) reports this year’s event marks the 20th anniversary of the festival which started in 2004.
