After the server is shut down, if players want to continue playing, they must either buy the PC version of the game or switch to a new game console and buy the “Scholar of the First Sin” version of “Dark Souls 2”.
“Scholar of the First Sin” was released in 2015 as the “Director’s Cut” of “Dark Souls 2”.
It caused polarising controversy among players due to major adjustments to enemy and item positions.
