Rapper Sauce Walka was shot in Memphis on Saturday afternoon, but sources confirm he is alive and expected to recover.
According to family members, Sauce Walka—whose real name is Albert Walker Mondane—was one of two men shot outside a hotel near the FedExForum. He sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Relatives say it appears he was not the intended target of the shooting.
Tragically, another unidentified man who was with Sauce Walka was also shot and did not survive. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
Memphis police have not provided additional details regarding the shooting, and investigations are ongoing.
