Remo Stars striker Sikiru Alimi set the tone early, firing home after just five minutes following a pinpoint cross from Segun Ogunribide.

Meanwhile, in Ibadan, new signing Godwin Odibo made a perfect debut for Shooting Stars, scoring in the 78th minute to seal a 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance.The victory keeps 3SC in second place with 40 points, eight behind leaders Remo Stars, with a game in hand.
Elsewhere in Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warriors edged Nasarawa United 1-0, courtesy of Umar Al Amin’s 29th-minute goal.
