Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Lacks Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Charging Support

Samsung Galaxy S25 series of mobile phones have been officially released. Earlier, there were reports that this series of mobile phones will support Qi2 wireless charging, but this is not the case.

According to AndroidCentral, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra do not support the Qi2 wireless charging standard.

Although the maximum wireless charging power of these three phones is 15W, which is consistent with the Qi2 specification, they have not obtained Qi2 certification due to the lack of the necessary magnetic suction components.

According to IT Home, Qi2 is a new generation of wireless charging standard based on MagSafe technology. Its feature is that the charger can be connected to the device through magnetic attraction and supports wireless fast charging up to 15W.

Although Samsung has previously confirmed that it will launch a mobile phone that supports the Qi2 standard in 2025, the Galaxy S25 series does not have this feature.

Despite this, the Galaxy S25 series still maintains the same performance as its predecessor in terms of wireless charging, supporting up to 15W wireless charging power.

In addition, the series also supports up to 45W wired fast charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. It should be noted that the standard version of the Galaxy S25 is slightly slower than the Plus and Ultra versions of the same series in wired charging speed.

For users who are looking forward to the magnetic wireless charging function, they may need to wait for Samsung to integrate this technology into future models.
