Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Thinnest S Series Phone, Launches with Snapdragon 8 Extreme, 50MP Camera

At the just concluded Samsung Galaxy Global New Product Launch Conference, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra phone was officially released.

The phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition For Galaxy processor, 12/16GB RAM, and optional 256GB/512GB/1TB storage space specifications .

In terms of appearance design, the overall size of the phone is 77.6×162.8×8.2 mm. Officially called it “the thinnest S series model in history” , the body uses a thinner and narrower frame, which is 15% narrower than the S24U. The body weighs 218 grams and has IP68 waterproof rating.

In terms of screen, the phone is equipped with a 6.9-inch QHD+ second-generation dynamic AMDLED display, supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (1~120Hz), and also supports visual enhancement technology VisionBooster and adaptive color tone technology.

In terms of performance, the phone is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition For Galaxy processor, which is said to have a 40% increase in NPU, a 37% increase in CPU, and a 30% increase in GPU; the body is equipped with a “larger heat sink”, which is 40% larger than the previous generation S24U and 15% larger than the S25/25+; the body has built-in 12/16GB RAM and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery.

In terms of imaging, the phone is equipped with a new 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, supports night-time video and 10-Bit HDR video, and realizes the “audio eraser”, “virtual aperture”, “generative editing”, and “smart portrait” functions with the support of AI.
