Ghana’s President John Mahama has warned the public to stay alert against financial scams on social media after hackers took control of his X account for 48 hours.
During the breach, the attackers used the account to promote a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme called “Solana Africa,” falsely claiming it was an initiative endorsed by Mahama.
Presidential spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu confirmed the incident, stating that the Presidency has regained control of the account.
Authorities have urged the public to ignore any suspicious messages regarding cryptocurrency investments allegedly linked to the former president.
