Nigerian starlet Shukurat Oladipo has revealed the reason behind her decision to join AS Roma Women, describing the move as a “life-changing opportunity” that will propel her career to greater heights.
The 20-year-old versatile player, who can feature in both defense and midfield, recently completed a one-and-a-half-year deal with the Italian club, keeping her at Roma until June 30, 2027.
Speaking about her decision, the former Robo Queens standout emphasized her desire for growth and development at a top European club.
“It will help my career grow, both as a person and as a versatile footballer passionate about the game,” Oladipo stated.
With 178 appearances for Robo Queens in the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), Oladipo has built a strong reputation as a rising star.

She also played a key role in Nigeria’s Falconets squad, winning silver at the 2024 African Games in Ghana and featuring in all four matches at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
With Oladipo’s arrival, AS Roma will be counting on her versatility and defensive strength to help in their bid to reclaim the top spot.
