A 16-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his 23-year-old brother during an argument at their apartment in Neapolis, Thessaloniki.

The victim, who is serving in the military, is in critical condition following surgery at 424 Military Hospital.

The teenager faces charges of attempted murder, weapon violations and assaulting officers after reportedly resisting arrest. He remains in custody and is set to appear before an investigating magistrate.

The stabbing occurred Saturday evening after a verbal altercation. Authorities say the teen used a folding knife to seriously wound his brother in the chest and leg. Police seized the knife and other weapons from the apartment. The teen reportedly told the prosecutor he had “accumulated anger.”
