Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu had on Wednesday tripped, stumbled and fell during the celebration of the 2024 Democracy at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
CONVERSEER learned from a LIVE video footage by TVC News on June 12 that Tinubu fell while trying to climb into the back of a parade vehicle.
According to the video, the President fell on his face and hit his head on the floor of the parade vehicle.
Despite the heavy number of guards surrounding the President, none of them was able to prevent him from falling.
It was reported that Tinubu has been battling with an unsteady illness that usually takes him to England and France before and after the 2023 elections.
“If you hear them saying, can I do it? I am not applying for the job of a grave digger; not race running, I am not a horse. I am not applying for bricklaying. I went to school to study accountancy and management.
“I am applying for a job of the brain; intelligent thinking; it is a job for someone who is ready to do things right. I will not let Nigerians down. I have the brain and capacity,” Tinubu said in the build-up to the 2023 presidential election.

Reacting to the video, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the President is not a superman.
Defending the President while replying to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Onanuga added that Tinubu is like other human beings.
Onanuga said President Joe Biden of the United States and former President Barack Obama once slipped.
“President Tinubu is not a Superman. He is human like all of us. President Biden has had several slips in the last three years. Even the younger Barack Obama slipped while President.
“Political leaders are human. Slipping should not detract from the import of Democracy Day celebration,” Onanuga said, adding that the slip should not distract Nigerians from the importance of the Democracy Day celebration.
Another aide, Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, insisted that there are no issues with the president, adding that he only missed his steps.
Meanwhile, during the June 12 Democracy Day celebrations, Nigerians were chanting “Minimum Wage” when the President was finally aided unto the parade vehicle and driving around Eagle Square.
