Trevor Noah Announced as Host for the 67th Grammy Awards Ceremony

South African comedian Trevoh Noah has been unveiled as the host of the 67th Grammy Awards thus making it the fifth consecutive year he will host the glamorous event. 

Trevor Noah will also be a producer on the show, according to a statement posted on the website of the organisers of the much-followed annual music awards.

They wrote: ” Emmy® Award-winning, Golden Globe® Award-nominated and GRAMMY® Award-nominated comedian Trevor Noah will return as master of ceremonies of the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards® for the fifth consecutive year.”

The African Song Performance category nominations for the 2025 Grammys are dominated by Afrobeats artists, including returning contenders Burna Boy and Asake, the former for his hit song “Higher” and the latter for his collaboration with Wizkid, “MMS.”

Davido received his second nomination in the category for his contribution to Chris Brown’s “Sensational,” while Lojay received his first Grammy nomination for the same song.

For her smash song “Tomorrow,” Yemi Alade obtains her first solo nomination, and Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” is nominated for Best African Music Performance.

The only musician from Africa to receive three nominations in the international music categories is Tems. “Born in the Wild,” her debut album, is nominated for Best R&B Song and Best Global Music Album for “Burning.”

Gifted musician, Rema who is known for his many global hits has been nominated for Best Global Music Album for his second album which he titled, “HEIS”.

Jordan Adetunji, who gained prominence for his viral song “Kelani,” is among the other Nigerian celebrities nominated for Grammy Awards. His song “Bloody Civilian,” which was featured on Bob Marley’s “One Love” soundtrack, was nominated for “Best Reggae Album.”
