Truck Collides with Vehicles, Resulting in Six Fatalities in Nigeria

A trailer loaded with cement lost control and plowed into 14 vehicles stuck in traffic near Nyanya Bridge in Abuja on Wednesday, leaving at least six people dead and causing widespread panic.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command confirmed the incident, which occurred about 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the city center.

According to the city’s Emergency Management Department, initial reports suggest that the trailer was powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).

The tragedy comes just months after a gasoline tanker explosion in Niger State killed 98 people in January, highlighting growing concerns over road safety and hazardous transport practices.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
