Video: Former NFL Star Leaps from Moving Boat onto Helicopter

Former National Football League (NFL) star Cam Newton has gone viral after completing a shocking stunt in “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” a reality show competition on Fox.

In the season three premiere episodes of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” Newton can be seen jumping from a speed boat onto a moving helicopter. The video shows the former NFL star being urged by an instructor to “jump” from the boat before Newton jumped off the speed boat, grabbed onto the helicopter’s landing skid, and pulled himself onto the helicopter.

After jumping off the boat and grabbing onto the landing skid, Carey Hart, a former Motocross champion, asked his fellow contestants, “Did you see that Heli swing?” After Newton successfully pulled himself up from the landing skid onto the helicopter, actor Stephen Baldwin exclaimed, “Did you see that? He pressed himself up on a helicopter!”

In the video, Newton can be heard shouting after his extraordinary feat, prompting the commander in the helicopter to say, “No screaming, no screaming.”

In response to Newton’s impressive stunt, one social media user tweeted, “Should Cam lowkey become an action movie star?” Another social media user wrote, “Just a freak athlete.” Meanwhile, a third social media user tweeted, “Need Cam on the next Mission Impossible lol.”

According to The New York Post, Newton is one of 16 contestants to be featured on the third season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” The outlet noted that “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” forces celebrities to complete military training-themed competitions.

In addition to Newton, The New York Post reported that the competitors featured in season three of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” include former NFL receiver Golden Tate, motorsports legend Carey Hart, soccer star Landon Donovan, former Olympic gymnast Jordyn Wieber, former Olympic swimmer Nathan Adrian, surfer Alana Blanchard, former track and field star Marion Jones, and influencer Kayla Nicole.

According to The New York Post, Newton played for the Carolina Panthers for 10 seasons after being selected as the top draft pick in 2011. The outlet noted that Newton won the Most Valuable Player award in 2015, played in the NFL Super Bowl, and was selected for the Pro Bowl three times. Netwon also spent one season with the New England Patriots.
